Laura began this blog in May 2011. She soon enlisted the help of her then-boyfriend, Ian. Laura writes the words. Ian draws the pictures.
In addition to Winnie, Laura and Ian care for two tuxedo cats, named Spottswood and Harvey. In March 2012, Laura and Ian began raising chickens.
Laura is an anthropologist. She has red hair and enjoys reading, writing, and putting clothes on hypoallergenic dogs.
Ian works at a non-proft, helping to save the planet by recycling and repurposing. He enjoys talking about plants, reading about plants, and planting plants.
Laura and Ian got engaged in December 2011 and married on May 18, 2012.
Their first child, Margot, was born on May 1, 2013. Their second child, Eleanor, was born on February 17, 2016.
